With a strong pressure-sensitive, acrylic adhesive, aluminum foil tape adheres well to irregular and uneven substrates. The durable foil backing offers ideal properties for a long, serviceable life. This tape is light and heat reflective, plus it resists moisture, weather and UV degradation. It is a chemical resistant, thermally conductive tape that performs consistently at temperatures ranging from -40 °F/-40 °C to 212 °F/100 °C.

Aluminum Tape Applications

CGS multi-purpose aluminum foil tape is ideal for a wide range of uses, including general repair, sealing hot and cold air ducts (HVAC), insulation systems, sealing aluminum, stainless and plastic seams / joints, temporary repair of metal surfaces, copper pipe fixing and more.

Aluminum Tape in HVAC Systems

Ideal for taping joints and seams in duct work for A/C, heating, and ventilation systems, best tape for purposes relating to the HVAC system.

Aluminum foil tapes are suitable for construction applications such as reinforcement of fiberglass and the thermal insulation of mineral-wood. It can also be used for repairing roofs and gutters.

EMI/RFI Shielding:

Electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding is used in electrical parts to reduce the electromagnetic induction in a field. Copper foil tape is usually used to block the field as it is one of the finest magnetic materials. Aluminum is an alternative conductive backing material to copper.
