DETAILS

PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) film is a fluoropolymer that has a large number of industrial applications because of its many properties. One common brand name is Teflon®, which is well-known for its non-stick and heat-resistant properties. It has excellent thermal and electrical insulation properties. making them suitable for applications in the electrical industry. They are used to provide electrical insulation where it can insulate up to 500 volts per mil. It is frequently used to wrap electrical wires and cable. Moreover, it is used to separate conductive plates in capacitors.
CGS has Virgin PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) film in a wide range of thicknesses, starting at 1mil (.001”) and going up to 10mil (.01”). Material can be supplied on roll, sheet or die cut to specific shape.

Wire & Cables

Skived, and unsintered PTFE film meet the strict requirements of today’s cable construction. They are used in various places in high temperature wire and cable.

Gasket

PTFE films are used as gasket and packing materials in chemical processing equipment and in bearings, seals, piston rings and other mechanical applications, especially those requiring anti-stick characteristics. Virgin PTFE film is specified for medical or electrical applications.
